Locals clear snow-buried Bheral Pass linking Dolpa and Mustang at own expense

After heavy snowfall buried the road at Bheral Pass, on the border between Upper Dolpa and Mustang, local residents have mobilized to clear the way themselves. They raised money and began removing the snow at their own expense.

The blockage of this pass connecting Dolpa and Mustang has created travel difficulties for residents of Upper Dolpa. After the road was blocked, locals who had been waiting for the state to clear it eventually came forward to remove the snow themselves.

Bheral Pass is an important section of the road connecting Upper Dolpa with Mustang. The work of reopening the snow-buried road is being carried out through the labour and financial support of local residents.
