Floods washed away their businesses, now comes the worry of repaying bank loans

The devastating flood that came down the Bhotekoshi and into the Trishuli from the Tibet side in the month of Bhadra caused huge losses to many businesses from Rasuwa to Dhading.
For business owners who lost their businesses altogether in the flood, repaying the loans they had taken from banks has now become another major worry.
In the past, during major disasters such as earthquakes, the government had brought both short-term and long-term relief packages for affected borrowers. Questions are now being raised about what the government and the relevant agencies are doing to provide relief to businesses affected by this flood.
On this subject, Nepal Rastra Bank spokesperson Guru Prasad Paudel was interviewed.
