US Embassy warns against submitting fake documents in visa applications

The US Embassy in Nepal has warned applicants not to submit fake documents when applying for a US visa.
In a message posted on social media on Thursday, the embassy said those who submit such documents could lose the opportunity to travel to the United States in the future. According to the embassy, including fake documents with a visa application amounts to fraud and puts the applicant's own future at risk.
The embassy claimed it stays one step ahead of those who create and sell fake documents, adding that it is preparing to counter new methods of fraud as they emerge.
The embassy has urged anyone applying for a US visa to submit only truthful information and their genuine documents in order to protect future travel opportunities.
