China's 77th National Day: Xi says national rejuvenation cannot be stopped

Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that no one can stop China's national rejuvenation if the country moves forward with confidence and clear goals.
He made the remarks at a reception held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday to mark the 77th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
According to him, if the country stays focused on its goals and advances step by step, success will ultimately belong to the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people.
President Xi said that in the 77 years since its founding, China has achieved rapid economic growth and long-term social stability.
He noted that despite various pressures, the economy is continuing to move this year too toward innovation-driven, high-quality development.
He also called for maintaining the pace of economic development while raising people's living standards.
On October 1, 1949, Mao Zedong declared the founding of the People's Republic of China from Beijing's Tiananmen Gate.
The journey since then is commonly viewed in three phases: Mao's political revolution, Deng Xiaoping's economic reforms, and national rejuvenation under Xi's leadership.
