UML calls first Standing Committee meeting; Bidya Bhandari to attend as senior leader

CPN-UML has called the first meeting of its Standing Committee. It is the first meeting of the Standing Committee formed after the party's 11th General Convention.

The meeting will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, Asoj 22, at the party's central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur. Neeraj Acharya, head of the party's publicity department, announced the meeting. The UML secretariat has also said it has fixed the date of the meeting.

Former President Bidya Bhandari will take part in the meeting as a senior leader for the first time.

A new Standing Committee was formed after the convention. The meeting is expected to discuss the party's upcoming programmes.
