Qatar rejects Netanyahu's allegation

Qatar on Asoj 9 rejected an allegation made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN's 81st General Assembly, calling it an attempt to divert attention from Israel's actions.

Netanyahu had alleged that Qatar was running a campaign to influence public opinion against Israel.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari, writing on social media platform X, said the allegation was baseless. According to him, the statement was made to obscure Israel's activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and their humanitarian impact.

Spokesperson Al-Ansari said describing the shift in global opinion, especially among youth, as the product of an "influence campaign" was an insult to their conscience and judgment. He noted that people are forming their views by seeing the situation in Palestinian areas for themselves.
