Congress convention: Deepak Giri of Dang announces bid for vice-president post

Nepali Congress leader Deepak Giri has announced his candidacy for vice-president at the party's 15th convention.

Giri, from Dang, made the announcement on Sunday through the social media platform Facebook. He is a former minister and former central committee member of Nepali Congress.

The party's 15th convention began on Sunday, Asoj 18, at Khulamanch in Kathmandu. The convention will elect the party's new leadership.

Ahead of the convention, various leaders are announcing their candidacies for office-bearer and central committee posts.
