Kavre removes 2,602 names from voter roll

Kavre has removed 2,602 names from its voter roll, covering people who have died, were registered twice, or have renounced their citizenship.
The District Election Office, Kavre, removed these names while updating the district's voter roll. According to information from Banepa, those removed from the roll fall into three categories: deaths, duplicate registrations, and citizenship renunciations.
Updating the voter roll is the responsibility of the District Election Office. Under this process, the names of people who have died, cases where the same person's name was registered in two places, and the names of those who have renounced Nepali citizenship are removed from the roll.
The office said that 2,602 names were removed from the roll in Kavre this time for these reasons.
