Kathmandu, Kartik 8. The price of gold and silver has fallen in the market that opened on Sunday for the first time after Dashain. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations adjusted the price of gold and silver today after the Dashain holidays.

According to the federation, the price of gold has fallen by Rs 11,700 per tola. With this, gold is being traded today at Rs 278,500 per tola. One media outlet, however, has reported the decrease as Rs 11,600.

The federation said the price of gold fell sharply in the Nepali market after Dashain because of a decline in the international market. The price of silver has also fallen along with gold.

This is the first day the market reopened after the Dashain holidays, and the drop in the price of gold on this very day has been a steep one.
