Over 132,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in October, up from last year

The number of foreign tourists arriving in Nepal in October 2026 was higher than in the same month last year.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, about 132,800 foreign tourists came to Nepal during the month.

That is nearly 4,000 more than in October last year.

According to the board's figures, the largest number of tourists this time came from the United States.

The number of American tourists reached about 17,400, up from nearly 13,300 in October last year.

Arrivals from India, which ranked second, have declined. About 12,100 Indian tourists came this year, compared with nearly 17,300 who visited Nepal in the same month last year.

Last October, Indian tourists outnumbered Americans, but this time the United States has overtaken India.

Tourists from China rank third. According to the board, about 11,700 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in October.

The board said British tourists rank fourth.
