Process to merge LP gas companies moves ahead, operators asked to prepare action plans

Nepal Oil Corporation has said it has advanced the process of merging LP gas companies operating in Nepal with one another. The corporation said the process has been taken forward to make the sale and distribution of LP gas more organized and convenient.

According to corporation director Vinitmani Upadhyay, preparations for merging the companies have been made in line with a provision in the approved policies and programs for the current fiscal year 2083/84 BS.

For this, the corporation has written to gas industry operators asking them to prepare action plans. The companies must submit their action plans on the merger process to the corporation.

The corporation expects that once the companies are merged, the supply and distribution management of LP gas will become easier.
