Partial effect of westerly winds, light rain and snow likely in hilly and mountainous areas

Nepal is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds. Because of this, the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the country's mountainous and hilly regions will see partly cloudy skies today, with light rain and snow possible in some places.

According to the division, the weather will turn cloudy in the afternoon in the hilly and mountainous areas of provinces including Koshi and Bagmati. Light rain and snow may occur in one or two places in these areas.

The division said the weather will remain mainly clear in the rest of the country.

Those travelling to or living in mountainous and hilly areas need to stay informed about this weather condition. The division said the partial effect of westerly winds continues to persist.
