Partial effect of westerly winds: light rain likely in mountain, hill areas

The Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said Nepal is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds. It has also said there is a partial effect of a low-pressure area over Uttar Pradesh, India.
According to the division, this effect will keep the mountain and hill regions of the country, including Lumbini Province, partly cloudy today. Light rain is likely in one or two places in the mountain and hill regions.
Along with partly cloudy skies across the country, fog and mist are forecast in various places. The division has said the weather in the Tarai region will generally remain clear.
Following continuous rain earlier, as the weather has cleared, farmers in various districts have been busy bringing in their paddy harvest.
