Police submits sackful of documents on uniform purchase to sub-committee, report due by Mangsir 20

Nepal Police has submitted a sackful of documents on the procurement of election police uniforms to the study sub-committee under the Public Accounts Committee.
The sub-committee's meeting on Thursday also fixed internal procedures to complete the preliminary study by Kartik 30. The sub-committee is preparing to submit its report by Mangsir 20.
Sub-committee coordinator and chief whip of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Khushbu Oli, expressed confidence that the government will not immediately remove Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki from his post. She said she does not believe the government would remove the IGP by interfering with the parliamentary sub-committee.
Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Manish Jha said no one can be declared guilty merely on the basis of an accusation.
Meanwhile, RSP lawmaker Khagendra Sunar was absent from Thursday's sub-committee meeting after his party barred him from participating in it.
