Nepal needs $74 billion to implement NDC 3.0, says ADB

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has said Nepal will need around $74 billion to implement its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0).
ADB's Country Director for Nepal, Arnaud Cauchois, said Nepal will need approximately $74 billion to implement NDC 3.0 during the period from 2025 to 2035.
The NDC is Nepal's national plan for implementing its commitments on climate change. According to ADB, this amount is needed for programs including climate adaptation.
As Nepal prepares for its participation in COP31, discussions on climate finance and adaptation are taking place at a national climate conference and other programs held in Kathmandu on Thursday.
