World Cup League 2: Nepal beats Oman by 113 runs for second straight win

Nepal defeated host nation Oman by a huge margin of 113 runs in the ongoing triangular series in Oman under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. The win, in a match played at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground on Tuesday, was Nepal's second consecutive victory in the series.
Batting first, Nepal set Oman a target of 264 runs for victory. Captain Rohit Paudel scored a half-century in Nepal's innings, while Karan KC batted explosively.
Chasing the target, Oman were restricted well short of the mark by Nepal's bowlers. Nandan Yadav and Sandeep Lamichhane bowled excellently.
This series is Nepal's last in League 2. Having already dropped out of the top four in League 2, Nepal now need to finish within the top six to retain their ODI status. This win has brought Nepal some relief in the points table.
