Government prepares to call federal parliament session in Mangsir

The government has prepared to call the next session of the federal parliament in December.

The government has informed Speaker Dolprasad Aryal of this plan. Speaker Aryal conveyed the message to the parties on Thursday after holding discussions at Singha Durbar with chief whips and whips of the parties represented in parliament.

Those present at the meeting included RSP chief whip Kavindra Burlakoti, Congress chief whip Wasana Thapa, Nepal Communist Party chief whip Yuvaraj Dulal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party chief whip Khusbu Oli, among others.

The discussion covered bills pending in parliament, proposed amendments, and clause-wise deliberations due in parliamentary committees. The previous session of parliament had ended on October 2.

The government also conveyed to the Speaker its wish to get as many bills as possible passed in the upcoming session.
