Department urges workers on home leave to get labor approval before buying return ticket

The Department of Foreign Employment has urged migrant workers who are home in Nepal on leave from their jobs abroad to obtain labor approval before buying the flight ticket for their return to the country of employment.
The department issued a notice asking workers to complete the process in time so that no one misses their flight due to a lack of labor approval. Workers returning to foreign employment after their leave must obtain labor approval again before departing.
According to the department, even workers who already hold a flight ticket risk missing their scheduled flight if they have not obtained the labor approval. The department said workers who have already bought their tickets must apply online for renewed labor approval at least 3 days before the flight date.
Workers facing any problem in the process can contact the department directly. The department has designated section officer Suresh Shrestha as the contact person for this purpose, and workers can reach him by sending a message via WhatsApp to 9768998473, the department said.
