Kaligandaki flood turns Myagdi's Ratopani hot spring pools into a riverbed

The Tatopani hot spring pools at Ratopani in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6, Myagdi, have been turned into a riverbed by flooding in the Kaligandaki River.
The pools were reduced to a riverbed by flooding in the Kaligandaki that followed rainfall from Asoj 8 to 11. Only a riverbed is now visible at the site where the pools once stood.
The Tatopani hot spring pools at Ratopani had been developing as a natural healing and tourist destination. The site lies along the Beni-Jomsom road.
The spring here produces hot water at a temperature of 56 degrees Celsius flowing at a rate of 11 liters per second. After the flood turned the pools into a riverbed, this site, which had been developing as a natural healing and tourist destination, has been affected.
