Qatari delegation in Tehran for talks to end Middle East war

A Qatari delegation arrived in Iran's capital, Tehran, on Friday for talks aimed at ending the Middle East war.
According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, the team, led by a senior adviser to the Qatari prime minister, held discussions with Iranian officials on bilateral relations and regional developments.
Mediators, meanwhile, are working to restart peace talks with the United States. The visit came a day after Iranian media reported that a letter addressed to Iran's security chief, Mohsen Rezaei, had been received from US Vice President JD Vance. Senior officials from several countries in the region have travelled to Tehran in recent days amid the risk of renewed hostilities in the war, which began eight months ago.
