RSP MP Khagendra Sunar demands fair probe into allegations, ready to accept punishment if guilty

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Khagendra Sunar has demanded that the state's responsible bodies carry out an impartial and ruthless investigation into allegations raised against him on media and social media. He said he is ready to accept whatever punishment is handed down if the investigation finds him guilty.
Writing a status on social media, Sunar said the party and the government should not have to bear responsibility for any wrongdoing attributed to him. "The party and the government need not die for any misdeed by me. I am ready to assist in any investigation carried out by the party, the government, or any state body," he wrote.
MP Sunar said that while the investigation and action should be directed at him, attacks on the woman concerned and trial by media are not acceptable. He said that if he had committed any wrongdoing, the police, the courts, or other bodies could investigate and punish him while keeping the woman's identity confidential.
He also raised the question of what exactly the "sin" or "crime" attributed to him actually is.
