NPL season 3: Omoda Jaecoo named sponsor, Kevin O'Brien joins as analyst

Omoda Jaecoo has become the 'powered by' sponsor for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

SPG Automobiles, the brand's official distributor in Nepal, has expanded its partnership with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). Omoda Jaecoo had been associated as a 'driven by' partner since the first edition in 2024. The company said it will continue the practice of awarding a car to the best-performing player of the tournament this year as well.

Separately, former Ireland cricketer Kevin O'Brien has joined Himalayan Sports as an expert analyst for NPL's special broadcast. O'Brien scored what was then the fastest World Cup century while chasing a huge England total in Bengaluru at the 2011 World Cup. He was head coach of Biratnagar Kings in the first NPL in 2024 and has played in various franchise competitions in Nepal.

The 'Red Bull Cricket Live' program will be hosted by former Star Sports presenter Navneet Krishn. Former Nepal national player Bardan Chalise will also be part of the analyst panel. Chalise is a former co-investor in Lumbini All Stars and has previously served as cricket director of Janakpur Bolts. Himalayan Sports said more domestic and international cricket personalities will be added to the panel, with announcements to follow soon.
