Audio case: RSP women lawmakers demand suspension of MP Khagendra Sunar

Women lawmakers of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have demanded that Khagendra Sunar, a central member of the party and member of the House of Representatives, be immediately suspended from his position as MP and face action. Along with the demand for suspension, they have also announced a boycott of him.
MP Sunar came under controversy after an audio clip went public in which he allegedly used abusive language and threatened to kill a woman. The RSP has said it has launched an investigation into the matter, including into whether the audio is genuine or AI-generated.
According to Online Khabar, after the audio went public it also emerged that MP Sunar had previously been taken into custody by Swayambhu Police after allegedly beating a woman.
According to Khabarhub, it has been claimed that his position as MP and his central membership of the party will be revoked. MP Lima Adhikari has said the RSP cannot sacrifice itself for Khagendra's sake.
