UML sets up new security at party office after police guard withdrawn

CPN-UML leaders say the party's central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, has become insecure after the government withdrew the security personnel posted there.

The police who had been stationed at the office around the clock were withdrawn on the morning of Asoj 26. UML propaganda department chief Niraj Acharya said the building and compound are built in a way that makes it easy for people to climb over the wall and enter.

The party is wary partly because the same office was set on fire during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 24, 2082 BS. The building, which was damaged in the arson, had been rebuilt and brought back into use.
