Cyclone 'Arnab' to affect Nepal too, farmers urged to harvest paddy before Thursday

As Cyclone 'Arnab' developing over the Bay of Bengal grows further stronger, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has urged high alert from Kartik 12 to 14.

The authority has urged farmers to complete harvesting and bringing in their paddy before Thursday.

The advisory comes as the cyclone's effects are expected to reach Nepal once it enters India. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall in the coming days due to the influence of Cyclone 'Arnab'.
