Jugal-2 summited for first time as three Spanish climbers reach peak

Sindhupalchok, Kartik 14 — Jugal-2, a peak in the Jugal Himal range located in Jugal Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok, has been successfully climbed for the first time. The peak stands at 6,518 metres.

Three mountaineers from Spain scaled the peak. The climbing team included Michael Zabaljaa [Jabaljaa] and two other Spanish climbers, three in total.

No one had previously made a successful ascent of Jugal-2. The Spanish team became the first team to reach the summit of this peak.

The Jugal Himal range lies in Jugal Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok. The first successful ascent of Jugal-2, part of this range, has now been made.
