Jomsom-Korala road reopens after repairs following damage from Cyclone Arnab rains

Mustang, Kartik 14 — The Jomsom-Korala road, which had been closed due to heavy rainfall, has reopened after repairs.

Heavy rain caused by the effects of Cyclone Arnab had fallen since Friday night. The rain had washed away the road at Chaile in Baragung Muktichhetra-3. Vehicles were unable to ply this road section from Saturday morning after the road was damaged.

Vehicles have resumed plying the road after the washed-out section was repaired. Passengers travelling on this route had been affected while the road remained closed.

Heavy rainfall occurred in Mustang and surrounding areas from Friday night due to the effects of Cyclone Arnab. This same rainfall had affected the road section.
