Four months after convention, RSP's central committee still incomplete

Nearly four months after the leadership elected at the Rastriya Swatantra Party's (RSP) first general convention took charge, the central committee has still not been completed.

The convention, held in Chitwan from Asar 7 to 12, elected a chairperson along with 6 office-bearers and 99 central members. The elected leadership took the oath of office and began work on Asar 17.

Under powers granted by the party statute, Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has already nominated some office-bearers, secretariat members and central members in two rounds. However, nominations for office-bearers including the vice-chairperson and general secretary, as well as a large number of central members, are still pending.

The responsibility for completing the committee rests with Chairperson Lamichhane. The delay in nominations has also raised questions about when the process will conclude.
