Rautahat scraps contract for two long-stalled bridges and a road

The contract agreement for three long-stalled infrastructure projects in Rautahat has been terminated. The Road Division Office, Chandranigahapur, scrapped the contract after the work remained incomplete despite repeated deadline extensions during construction.
The terminated contracts cover projects under the Chandranigahapur-Gaur road, including two bridges and one road. The projects had been stalled due to the negligence and delays of the construction contractor.
Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal said a decision had been made to terminate the contracts for all three stalled projects and move the work forward through a new process.
According to Minister Lamsal, the government has tightened contract management to end the hardship citizens have faced due to the long-stalled projects and to speed up the construction of public infrastructure.
