Ronaldo suspended 30 days, fined 255 euros for leaving national team camp

The Portuguese Football Federation has suspended captain Cristiano Ronaldo for 30 days for leaving the national team's training camp. The federation's disciplinary committee has also fined him 255 euros, which is about 43,500 rupees at today's selling rate set by Nepal Rastra Bank.
The 41-year-old Ronaldo left the squad gathered for the Nations League last September. After being benched against Norway, he walked out of the camp on learning that he had also been left out of the starting eleven for the October 1 match against Denmark.
Ronaldo had accused coach Jorge Jesus of breaking his word twice and said he had completely lost trust in the coach. Jesus, however, said there was no such agreement with Ronaldo.
Since the suspension takes effect from the day of the Denmark match, Ronaldo has already served 19 days and will not miss any of Portugal's upcoming matches. Portugal are set to play Denmark on November 14 and Wales three days later.
Ronaldo had already admitted his mistake and apologized to his teammates and supporters. For Portugal, Ronaldo has so far played 234 international matches and scored 146 goals.
