Government to run free online AI training for youth

The government is set to run free online training on artificial intelligence, or AI, for young people.

The National Vocational Training Academy, under the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment, is organising the training on "Effective Use of AI and Prompt Writing."

The training will run on Kattik 18 and 19 in four separate sessions. Each session will accommodate up to 500 people, allowing a total of 2,000 young people to take part.

Participants will be taught how to use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude and how to write prompts. They will also get practice preparing emails, notes and presentations with the help of AI.

The training will also cover making images and videos, using AI responsibly, and methods to verify the accuracy of information it provides.
