Action plan ready for rebuilding private homes in flood-landslide-hit Myagdi after Asoj disasters

An action plan has been prepared for the strengthening, reconstruction and resettlement of private homes in Myagdi district, which was affected by floods and landslides in Asoj.

The plan, prepared by the District Administration Office, was approved by the Disaster Management Committee meeting and came into implementation from Friday.

Chief District Officer Ganesh Gaire said that after rescue, relief and the arrangement of temporary shelter, work has now reached the reconstruction phase. According to him, the reconstruction of private homes is targeted to be completed by the second week of the coming Jestha.

The 12-point action plan, which includes a timeline, assigns responsibilities to the local level and the District Disaster Management Committee.
