Government approves procedure on wages and social security for public procurement workers

The government has approved the "Procedure on Wages and Social Security for Workers Engaged in Public Procurement, 2083."

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam informed that the procedure has been approved.

As the name indicates, the procedure is linked to the wages and social security of workers engaged in work under public procurement. Public procurement includes construction and other works that government bodies carry out through contracts.

The government has yet to make public further details on the specific provisions regarding the benefits workers will receive under the procedure.
