Without a concrete bridge, Bharbaliya residents travel 55 km for a five-minute distance

For residents of Bharbaliya village in Samarimai Rural Municipality-5, in Rupandehi's Marchawar area, reaching the settlement across the river is not easy. They have been suffering because there is no concrete bridge over the Tinau-Danav River.
Locals are forced to travel 50 to 55 kilometers around to cross a river that could be crossed on foot in just five minutes. As a result, reaching the nearby settlement takes hours.
According to Onlinekhabar, what should be a five-minute crossing takes local residents two hours. Bharbaliya villagers have been grappling with a lack of basic infrastructure and services for years.
Local residents are waiting for a concrete bridge to be built over the river.
