Koshi Province's development spending falls short of 5 percent in first quarter

The Koshi provincial government has been unable to spend even 5 percent of its development budget in the first three months of the current fiscal year.

According to figures released by the Provincial Comptroller's Office as of the end of Asoj, capital expenditure linked to development construction stands at just about 4.61 percent. Overall budget spending by the province during the same period also reached only about 9.74 percent.

On the revenue side, however, the province's position is satisfactory, with around Rs 8.43 billion collected in revenue and income over the three months.
