Motorcycles throng Malekhu suspension bridge, the alternative after the Furkekhola bridge washed away

Dhading. Motorcycle traffic has increased on the suspension bridge at Malekhu, which is being used as an alternative after floods in the Trishuli River washed away the Furkekhola bridge.
The crowd on the suspension bridge has grown as the number of travellers returning after celebrating Dashain has increased. With the rising load, travellers have had to wait a long time in queue to cross the bridge.
The crowd of motorcycles has also made it difficult for pedestrians to cross the bridge.
Since the Furkekhola bridge was swept away, people travelling in this area have come to depend on the Malekhu suspension bridge. As the return to Kathmandu after Dashain continues, the rush of travellers here remains steady.
