UN voices concern over continuing Israeli attacks on civilians in Gaza

The United Nations has expressed serious concern that Israeli attacks on civilians in the occupied Palestinian territory have not stopped, and has called for the protection of civilians and physical infrastructure.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), airstrikes, shelling, explosions and gunfire were reported across all provinces of Gaza on Tuesday and Wednesday. Such incidents were more frequent in the western part of the line designated to separate areas under Israeli military control.
With winter and rains approaching, the UN and partner agencies are sending fuel, tarpaulins, warm clothing, medicine and health supplies into Gaza. However, OCHA said relief distribution is being hampered by limited supplies, insufficient financial resources and Israeli restrictions.
Meanwhile, the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) confirmed that Israeli forces raided the offices of Palestinian civil society organizations in Ramallah in the West Bank on Tuesday. The office said soldiers seized documents during the raid and detained several people.
