ANFA headquarters reopens after four months, executive committee meeting set for Kattik 13

The lock on the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA)'s central office at Satdobato, Lalitpur, was opened on Wednesday after nearly four months.
The office was opened by a majority of executive committee members led by senior vice-president Birbahadur Khadka. The discussion that followed was attended by Biratjung Shahi, Deepak Khatiwada, Kumar KC, Rupesh Adhikari, Tika Lama, Bharat Budha Thapa and others.
Earlier, 11 executive committee members including Khadka had given a written letter to chairman Pankaj Bikram Nembang demanding that a meeting be called. Under sub-clause 2 of Article 31 of ANFA's statute, a meeting must be called if one-third or more members demand it in writing.
Khadka said that after the meeting was not called for 21 days, members came forward on their own on the 22nd day. He has called an executive committee meeting for Friday, Kattik 13.
The meeting is expected to discuss the ban imposed by FIFA, cooperation with the government, and obstacles seen in holding tiered elections. Khadka said the meeting was called to get Nepali football, which has been stalled, moving again.
