Partial westerly wind effect continues, light rain and snow likely in mountain, hill regions

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Weather Forecasting Division has said a partial effect of the westerly wind currently persists over Nepal. As a result, the weather will turn cloudy today in the mountain and hill regions of the country, the division said.

According to the division, the mountainous terrain of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces currently has partial cloud cover.

The division said light rain or snowfall is likely today at one or two places in the mountainous terrain of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as the hilly terrain of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The weather in the rest of the country's terrain is forecast to generally remain partly cloudy to mainly clear.
