Health ministry orders hospitals to keep essential services running through Dasain holidays
The full story on video

The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has directed hospitals to keep essential health services running as usual during the Dasain holidays.
The ministry sent letters to the provincial ministries overseeing health and to all federal government hospitals, asking them to ensure citizens have smooth, accessible and continuous health services through the holiday period.
Since Dasain brings several days of holidays, there has been concern over how hospitals would provide services during this period. Under the ministry's directive, essential hospital services will not be shut down even on holidays.
Fulpati was brought in across the country on Saturday, the seventh day of Bada Dasain. Many citizens have returned home to celebrate the festival.
