Commerce department to monitor Dashain-targeted market until Ashtami

The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection will continue market monitoring until Ashtami even during the Bada Dashain holidays.

According to the department, there will be no market monitoring from Mahanawami until the day after Tika.

Consumption of food items rises in the market during Dashain. Market monitoring targeting Dashain has therefore been carried out to protect consumer interests.

The monitoring will check the quality and price of goods sold in the market, among other matters. Monitoring will not stop until Ashtami even during the holiday period.
