Nejamuddin Shamani, joint general secretary of the National Liberation Party Nepal, took general membership of RSP through its official online system. He is reported to have joined RSP with the aim of contesting for mayor of Pokhariya Municipality.
Similarly, Prabhakar Gupta, a Madhesh Province committee member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has also left his party to choose RSP. Both entries are being viewed in connection with preparations for the upcoming local election.
