Trump claims Iran's nuclear capacity destroyed, Tehran says policy unchanged

US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US attack destroyed Iran's nuclear capability more than expected. He made the claim in an interview with Fox 2 Television ahead of an election rally in Michigan.
Trump argued that military action had to be taken in advance because Iran could use a nuclear weapon if it built one. He said the strike was carried out to prevent the human cost of a potential nuclear conflict.
Trump also claimed that oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have increased compared to before the war, crediting this to the US Navy's blockade and military capability. He said he had already known the war would push up oil prices somewhat.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said further military action would not change Iran's policy, and rejected any justification for such action.
