Congress to repair open-air theatre damaged during convention at its own expense, 45-day deadline

The Nepali Congress will repair the open-air theatre structure that was damaged during its 15th General Convention, at its own expense.
Showing high responsibility toward public infrastructure and environmental sensitivity, the party has decided to carry out the repair work itself. A 45-day deadline has been set for the repair. Congress has said it will restore the open-air theatre to a green condition after the repairs.
Congress's 15th General Convention was held in Kathmandu from Asoj 18 to 23. Gagan Thapa was elected president at the convention, securing 6,584 of the total 7,039 votes cast.
The complete vote count for the election to choose the new leadership was completed on Friday morning. Setopati reported that the newly elected office bearers will take their oath of office after Dashain.
