Government urges Dr. Govinda KC to end fast, says 'most demands already met'

The Ministry of Education and Sports has urged Prof. Dr. Govinda KC, a campaigner for medical education reform, to end his ongoing satyagraha.

The ministry released detailed information on the various demands raised by Dr. KC and the implementation status of agreements reached with him so far, stating that most of the demands have already been met and some are in the process of being implemented.

Dr. KC began his fast demanding reforms in medical education and health services, easy access for the general public, and freeing health education from commercial interests. This is his 25th fast in 14 years.

However, questions have repeatedly been raised over the implementation of agreements reached with the government following his previous fasts.
