Beni market, the district headquarters of Myagdi, has been facing a shortage of drinking water. Residents of the market are in trouble after floods and landslides damaged the pipeline supplying drinking water.

Floods and landslides that struck in the second week of Asoj damaged the drinking water pipeline. Since then, the amount of water reaching Beni market has decreased.

After the pipeline was swept away, the water supply in the market has not been able to return to normal. Some media outlets have reported that Beni is facing an acute shortage of drinking water.

The floods and landslides that hit Myagdi in Asoj also damaged other structures. At the district headquarters, Beni, the drinking water problem has now become the main challenge.
