Ghorahi-Tulsipur four-lane road to get gravel layer after Tihar

Preparations are underway to begin gravelling the Ghorahi-Tulsipur four-lane road in Dang right after Tihar.
According to Sunil Dhungana, an engineer with the construction company Shree Diva-Bandana Bhagwati JV, construction of retaining walls and drains has reached its final stage. About 18 kilometers of retaining wall have already been built, he said.
He added that gravelling will begin once structural work is completed by Tihar. The road's physical progress stands at 16 percent and financial progress at 15 percent, Dhungana said, with work worth around 400 million rupees completed so far.
Local residents had been complaining because the road remained stalled for five years before this. Construction resumed after the contract was re-awarded and an agreement was signed in Asar 2082.
