Chitwan's sayapatri and marigold garlands exported to Britain, Hong Kong and Dubai

Sayapatri and marigold flowers and garlands grown in Chitwan have begun to be exported to Britain, Hong Kong and Dubai.

Flowers and garlands produced commercially by four brothers in Kalika Municipality–Padampur in eastern Chitwan are now being sent abroad.

Demand for sayapatri and marigold flowers typically rises during Tihar. Kag Tihar was celebrated on Saturday as part of Yamapanchak, while Laxmi Puja falls on Sunday.

Flowers and garlands produced in Chitwan are now reaching foreign markets in addition to the domestic market.
