Free education up to higher studies for children of those killed, missing in Bhotekoshi flood

The Ministry of Education and Sports has decided to provide full scholarships to the children of those who died or went missing in the devastating Bhotekoshi flood of Bhadra 10.

The ministry has moved the process forward through a ministerial-level decision. Under the decision, children who lost a parent or guardian, or whose parent went missing, in the flood will be able to study free of cost up to higher education.

The Bhadra 10 flood caused heavy loss of life and property. The ministry has put this scholarship arrangement in place so that the education of children from flood-affected families is not disrupted.
