Not just Thamel, administration studies keeping all of Kathmandu open 24 hours

The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has said it is studying keeping not just Thamel but all of Kathmandu open 24 hours a day.

The administration shared this information at a program organized by the Thamel Tourism Development Council on Friday. Kathmandu's Chief District Officer, Ishwari Prasad Paudel, spoke on the matter at the event.

The administration has begun preparations and discussions on the matter. However, details on when and under what arrangement Kathmandu would be open 24 hours have not yet been made public.

According to various media reports, the study is not limited to Thamel alone but covers the whole of Kathmandu.
